The holiday season has finally arrived, and we here at The Yeomen couldn’t be more excited. For many, this is a time of generosity of spirit and benevolence, a time in which we make a point to think of others first and help those who share life around us. As leaders in an industry of service, we try to live this every day, but the holiday provides extra opportunities to put into practice what we hold dear to our hearts.
There’s one particular group of individuals that The Yeomen feel especially connected with during this time; our veterans. Those who have served our country in defense of our freedoms, who sacrificed portions of their lives so that we could enjoy them in safety, are especially dear to us. They are the brightest example of what it means to serve others.
We love giving back to those who have given so much, which is why we have partnered with Soldier’s Angels to help make our local veterans enjoy a wonderful holiday season. Our team has put together holiday stockings full of goodies and treats that will be distributed to veterans in need. Each stocking comes with a personalized note acknowledging the amazing service they’ve provided to the people of this country. The stocking will be delivered through Soldier’s Angel’s network of volunteers throughout the city.
We hope that these stockings serve to bring a little joy to our local heroes, and that they serve as heartfelt recognition for what they’ve given to us. If you would like to support veterans in your area, then visit the Soldier’s Angel website and see how you can get involved. They offer year-round support for veterans in need. Thanks for all that you do, and have a fantastic holiday!
About Soldier’s Angel:
Soldiers’ Angels provides aid and comfort to the men and women of the United States Army, Marines, Navy, Air Force, Coast Guard, their families, and a growing veteran population.
“May No Soldier Go Unloved” encapsulates the motivation behind Soldiers’ Angels. The volunteers of Soldiers’ Angels work tirelessly supporting our nation’s veterans, wounded heroes, deployed service members and their families.
To date, our volunteers have sent hundreds of thousands of care packages and millions of letters and cards to “adopted” deployed service members; we have supplied the wounded with over 25,000 of our First Response Backpacks directly at the Combat Support Hospitals in Iraq and Afghanistan and the major military hospital in Germany, as well as provided care and comfort to those in stateside military and VA facilities.
